An Irish citizen, Tim Buckley was born in Co. Longford, schooled in Co. Tipperary and educated in Dublin. He is a Chartered Accountant, and holds an Honours degree from University College, Dublin.
He has spent much of his life living overseas, including spells in South Africa, the UK and France. He is 41 years old, and currently lives with his wife in Switzerland.
Bad Things Happen is his first novel.
Tim has spent more than 10 years as a marketing and communications professional in the telecommunications and technology industries. He specialises in the articulation of complex messages and value propositions to diverse audiences, in Europe and around the world. He has worked closely with the press and with market analysts, and his work has been published in business journals and trade publications. He currently works as a freelance communications consultant.
Tim is a keen long-distance runner and triathlete, with ten marathons and six Ironman-distance triathlons to his name. In 2007, a near-fatal cycling accident while training in the French Alps led him to reassess his priorities, and to realise a long-held ambition to write a novel.
